If you want to change your yahoo mail login username. Is it possible? Yes it is possible in yahoo mail. You can change your yahoo login mail id as you require.

Once you created your email then is there any possibility to change your login email username. In Gmail there is no possibility to change your email id once you created at sign up process. Outlook one of the email client from Microsoft providing this feature but you cannot login with your required login id. But in yahoo mail you have an option to change your yahoo mail login username as you required.

This technique is called as email aliases. These aliases are worked as alternatives to our email ids for login purpose. For suppose you have one yahoo mail id named as namexxxxx@yahoo.com, and you don’t want to use this mail id to login to your account and you want a new login id with your full name or with your pets name etc.. In this case you just create an alias for your original email account and login with that duplicate mail id.

Actually what happens is whenever you create a new mail account at that time the system will generate one default mail id with your name and combination of some numbers. This mail id is not satisfied the users. So at this time you can create your own and required email login id’s as you wish. You can create any number of mail aliases.

How to create alias email id:

1. First of all login to your yahoo mail account.

2. Click on options and select mail options which are at right side top of your inbox.

3. Here you will find all your mail settings which can be useful to customize your email account.

4. In that right side pane contains the menu of settings. These settings contains Account Information on the bottom.

5. To change the account settings like username , email account, profile settings click here.

6. A new window will be opened and it will ask you for reentering your password.

7. Just enter your password and next your account settings will be opened.

8. The newly opened window contains Profile Information, Contact Information, Sign and Security, Account Settings, Notifications and subscriptions.

9. To create aliases for your account then go to Account Settings and select the first option as Manage your Yahoo! Aliases.

10. Now aliases address settings will be opened and here you need to enter your new and required username to login. To create new address clicks on Add an Alias.

11. Enter your new mail id. This is only your required mail id to login. You need not to enter yahoo.com domain name. Just enter your required name and click on save.

12. That’s it. You successfully create your new alternative login id. 

Note: The newly create mail id is only for login purpose. You don’t allow to send emails with this mail id.
